What medtech companies need to know now

Packaging is increasingly coming under regulatory scrutiny. The new Swiss Packaging Ordinance and the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) are introducing new re-quirements regarding packaging design, choice of materials, labelling and recyclability. Swiss medtech companies are also affected by these changes – whether through exports to the EU or due to new requirements in the Swiss market.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the key requirements of the Swiss Packaging Ordinance and the PPWR, as well as their significance for the medtech sector. We will highlight the regulatory requirements arising from the new legislation, which companies are affected, when the individual requirements come into force, and the differences between Swiss and European regulations.

This will be followed by practical presentations demonstrating how the new requirements can already be incorporated into product and packaging development today. A design agency will provide insights into the development of regulatory-compliant packaging solutions for medical devices, whilst a medtech company will report on its experiences with practical implementation.
